The GP7 Asia Challenge is an international event organized by FIM Asia, giving young talents the opportunity to compete against one another on equal machinery. Participation is by invitation only, with riders first nominated by their respective national motorsport federations.
Pennings was nominated by the KNMV and subsequently selected by the event organizers. The young Dutch rider is part of the KNMV road racing talent squad and will have the opportunity to compete against an international field in South Korea. The entire program will be completed over a single weekend. Practice sessions, qualifying and races will all be contested on identical OHVALE GP7 machines. With only a limited number of places available – just five of them for European participants – Pennings’ selection represents a special recognition of his talent.
