It was an enervating weekend for the MiniGP Netherlands series in Veldhoven. The circumstances were treacherous, challenging both team and rider all the more. On Sunday, May 26th, the MiniGP Championship arrived at outdoor carting circuit De Landsard for the second race of the season. It was Douwe Douma who ultimately claimed victory.
It was a busy day for the Ohvale 160cc riders: there were two free practice sessions, two qualifications, and two races lined up. These each lasted 15 minutes, in other words plenty of time for the young drivers to improve their feel for their bikes. The day started out dry, but the circuit was strewn with wet spots from the heavy rainfall the day before. During the day more rain spells crossed over Veldhoven, leading to the races taking place on both half-dry and half-wet circuits. This created tricky conditions for the FIM MiniGP Netherlands riders.
